Frequently asked questions.
Can I become a pattern tester?
Occasionally, I reach out for pattern testers whose experience and styles are appropriate for the pattern being tested. If you would like an email when I next call for pattern testers, join my pattern testing announcement email list here.
Do you take commissions?
If I have the time, I will do commissions for the baby and throw sizes any of my patterns. Prices start at $500 for baby size and $800 for throw. Quilts may take up to four months to complete after the acquisition of materials. Exact price and timeline will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. Please use my contact form to inquire about a commission.
Can my business sell your printed patterns and/or kits specific to your quilts?
I’m always interested in reaching more customers! I do not print patterns for my own shop, but they can be formatted and printed in sufficient quantities. Contact me and we can determine if printed patterns or kits are a good fit for both our businesses’ goals.
Can I sell a quilt made from one of your patterns?
You may not sell, reproduce, or share any of my patterns. However, you may sell quilts made from my patterns if design credit is given.
Can you alter one of your quilt patterns for me?
No. Patterns are sold as is and no alterations or modifications will be made.
What do I do if I found an error in one of your patterns?
Check out my errata page! If you don’t see the specific error listed, please fill out the error reporting form so I can add it to the list.
What sewing machine do you use?
A Juki TL-2010Q. It’s one of the least expensive quilting specific machines on the market. It’s quite a workhorse and a quality machine! However, it is very limited in its capabilities: it only does straight stitches. There is also no built-in computer (which does simplify maintenance).
Can you recommend a long arm quilting service?
No. Believe it or not, I have not personally used a long arm quilting service! I prefer to see my quilts through start to finish.
